Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions families ask about care at home.
Who are your services best suited for?
Our services are best suited for adults and seniors who want to stay safely at home but need help with daily activities. This includes older adults, people living with chronic conditions or disabilities, and family caregivers who need extra support or respite.
What types of tasks can caregivers help with?
Our caregivers provide non-medical Personal Assistance Services (PAS). This can include help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, companionship, and support with errands or appointments as allowed by your care plan.
Do you provide overnight or weekend care?
Yes. We offer care during the day, evenings, overnights, and on weekends, based on your needs and our staffing availability. We’ll talk through your preferred schedule during the assessment and build a care plan that fits your routine.
What areas do you serve?
We serve private-pay clients in our Texas service area focused on the Dallas–Fort Worth region, including Dallas, Collin, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Rockwall, Hunt, Tarrant, Johnson, Parker, Wise, and Hood Counties.
What is the difference between PAS and skilled nursing/home health?
Residential Wellness is licensed in Texas as a Personal Assistance Services (PAS) agency. We provide non-medical help with daily activities—like bathing, dressing, mobility, light housekeeping, meals, and medication reminders—through trained, supervised attendants. Skilled nursing and home health agencies provide clinical, medical care (such as wound care, injections, IVs, and complex medication management) under nurses and therapists and bill Medicare or insurance.
Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare or insurance?
At this time, Residential Wellness is a private-pay Personal Assistance Services (PAS) agency. We do not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or bill insurance plans. Clients and families pay us directly for services according to our Service Agreement.
How does scheduling and billing work?
Scheduling: We start with an intake and on-site assessment, then build an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) with your preferred days, times, and hours.
Billing: Residential Wellness is private-pay only. Services are billed by the hour at the rate in your Service Agreement. You pay weekly for services already provided, and a two-week deposit is usually required for hourly care (which may be waived if you use ACH, at the agency’s discretion).
